CAE Crew Management Systems is on the lookout for someone special to join our team: The IT Technician will be the go-to person locally and for our remote team of 120 people.

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to be responsible for the overall IT Infrastructure in CAE Auckland and other remote team members of Crew Management Systems. You will manage and provide hardware, software and network maintenance and recommendations about future planning and development of resources. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure maximum access to an implementation of technology services and resources.

The main tasks will include:

    Lead and grow the company’s technology with responsibility for the implementation of overall technology strategy in line with CAE global IT strategies
    Supervise and manage all functional areas of technology including hardware, software, technical support, network and systems administration and information security management.
    Work in partnership with Global team and technology partner (vendors).
    Responsible for performing more complex and non-routine specialized infrastructure systems administration support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, elimination of manual repetitive tasks and problem solving.
    Provide user training for new and existing user on new technology – Software and hardware. This will improvise the staff knowledge and skill for that system / application.
    Responsible for the overall technology design, engineering, configuration, operation and maintenance of hardware and software of servers, desktop, notebook and tablets.
    Establish and maintain system level access for all users – Active directory.
    Responsible and managing company Wintel servers, Active directory, Print server, QnE database, Exchange, O365, Docunet, Google platform, Workplace, SafeQ, Oracle, Hyperion, Pelesys and Gemini system, AIMS, Skyspeed, ePos and all other local and customer applications.
    Responsible for managing company network devices – Firewall, Web management server, Network policy, LAN and WAN Infra, WiFi infra.
    Responsible for managing and supporting all company computers such as desktop, notebook and tablets.
    Deliver flawless infrastructure services to support corporate strategic projects

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years experience in an IT Service Desk role or IT Technician role, with certification in Office 365 management and migration.  We are requiring someone who is confident and capable to hit the ground running and manage their time effectively. You will need a can-do attitude to getting the job done.
