 IT & Automation System Engineer (Packaging Business)- SCG, Bangkok, Thailand


Job Summary:

    Propose solutions to close gap and integrate IT with automation systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing execution System (MES), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Automated guided vehicles (AGVs), robots, PLCs, and sensors.
    Utilize manufacturing data to harness automation identities such as human-machine-interfaces, sensors, as well as other control platforms.
    Interface machine information and status back to IT systems.
    Provide both software and hardware support to accommodate proof of concepts /experimental tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

    Translate requirements then derive integration architecture in IT and automation area.
    Develop suitable applications to fulfill and compromise the requirements.
    Trouble-shoot and debug all aspects including hardware and software for both IT and automation identities.

 

Qualifications:

    Bachelor Degree in Electrical/ Machatronics/ Automation/ Computer Engineer or Computer Science/IT (G.P.A. > 2.70)
    Good Command of English (TOEIC > 550)
    More than 2 years of experience in IT and Automation System or having background as Software/System Engineer
    Age not over 30
    Having driving license with own vehicle
    Able to travel upcountry per assigned project

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

    Understand principles, perform basic configuration as well as basic trouble-shootings.
    Understand principles and be equipped with C#, VB, ASP, .Net, Java Script or etc.
    Understand principles and be equipped with MS-SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or MongoDB.
    Understand Microsoft Windows and in addition with Linux or Docker.
    Understand principles regarding PLC, sensors, vision systems and etc.
    Understand principles and be able to perform basic sensor set-up as well as calibration.
    Understand principles and in addition with one of fieldbus protocols.

Key Responsibilities

    Work in an agile team to build / develop features and technologies across various aspects of the Java stack, primarily focused on Spring Boot and Spring Cloud / NetflixOSS.

Essential Skills & Prerequisites

    A positive, can-do attitude, who naturally expresses a high degree of empathy to others.
    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.  We are more interested in passion for technology and what you are capable of, than we are academic qualification.
    5 or more years of relevant work experience.
    Experience in building mission critical applications from scratch, and decomposing monolithic applications into smaller services.
    Experience with a broad mix of technologies, including a strong subset of:
        Core Java 8,9, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, NetflixOSS
        Angular JS
        Kubernetes (or equivalent)
        MySQL, PostgreSQL, EnterpriseDB, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB, ELK)
        RabbitMQ, Kafka
        AWS & GCP
        API Gateway
        Linux
        CI/CD (Jenkins, Git)
        Experience with distributed architectures, SOA, microservices and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
        Experience with Agile and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
        Familiarity with containers and their technologies such as Docker.
        Familiarity with container orchestration technologies such as Mesos and Kubernetes.
        Experience with high availability, high-scale, and performance systems.
