About the Role:

The Network Administrator’s role is to design, install, administer, monitor, and optimize company systems and related components to achieve high performance of the various business applications supported by both on prem and cloud environments.


This role requires analyzing and monitoring network performance, providing network support, troubleshooting network related issues through resolution, performing system maintenance tasks, and optimizing all local and wide area network connections.


Well-qualified candidates have:

    Minimum of three years’ equivalent work experience in a technical analytical position responsible for managing IT systems environments.
    Coursework in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or another technical related field. Relevant experience may substitute for coursework.
    Certification in A+, N+, Security+, ITIL and/or similar industry recognized certification highly encouraged.
    Diverse, multi discipline experience in different technical areas (e.g., networks, messaging, desktop management, storage, application support etc.) with proven track record of managing operations including management of SLAs, developing strategies, etc.
    Hands-on expertise with network hardware, protocols, and media including but not limited to fiber optics, UTP, IEEE 802.11, VOIP, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP directional wireless.
    Experience in automating desktop and server deployment through MDT.
    Experience with Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and other MS Office.

Base Salary: $67,500 and pay is commensurate with technical skills and experience

Role Summary

The IT Cloud Developer is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and evolving the cloud infrastructure. You are expected to understand the core cloud services and apply best practices regarding security and scalability. Responsible for utilizing technical skills to coordinate enhancements, support, and troubleshoot efforts, provide insight and recommendations for user requirements to fulfull business demand in the organization.

 

 
Key Responsibilities

    Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.
    Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary. Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
    Develops and defines application scope and objectives and prepares technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.
    Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.
    Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.
    Coordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system.
    Maintains technical development environment.
    Perform complex work assignments requiring independent problem solving and decision making, requiring strong software technical competency
    Generate handbook for usage of the implemented tool software (components)
    Coordinate integration of 3rd party software such as plug-ins, scripts, etc. according to specification

 
Key Qualifications/Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
    8+ years’ relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) for data handling visualizing software environments (e.g., data base, data warehouse) as well as web-based interfaces.

 

 

Knowledge

    AWS, Azure and other cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS)
    Standard office administrative practices and procedures
    Change management and problem resolution processes
    Automotive SPICE or CMMI

What you'll be doing

Behind everything our Supporters see online, from our public websites and mobile applications to the emails arriving in their inboxes, is the infrastructure and security capabilities delivered by the Digital Web Operations team.

An exciting challenge to further develop your career in security remediation and analytics. In this critical role you will be a security advocate leveraging tools to understand exploits and vulnerabilities across the digital estate to help drive and deliver our security road map. You will be responsible for threat analysis within IT digital investigating across all AWS environments, working closely with your team lead and the secops team to remediate security related issues based on operational needs.

Who we're looking for

This role would suit someone with good knowledge in security and dev sec ops and understands the importance of keeping all environments safe and ensuring that security threats to the Trust are mitigated.

You should be comfortable with the use of all things tech and a keen interest to keep abreast of the latest technologies, whether that be infrastructure, cloud hosting, networks or security.

You'll also need to demonstrate:

    Experience of IT Operations, release and deployment management, operational support (ITIL- incident, change management and problem), and monitoring of services.
    Experience in delivering, implementing, and administrating solutions utilising a variety of cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure), Commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages.
    Technical knowledge and hands on experience of CI/CD deployment pipelines, dev ops tooling such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Github.
    Technical understanding of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, SQL Server and Oracle.
    Problem solving ability to debug complex distributed applications, services and databases.
