As a Desktop Support Analyst, you'll be part of the Digital Workplace Services team, which sits in multiple regions across the UK. The team is responsible for providing core customer facing IT services to support and solve any technical hardware issues.

It's your job to play a key part in giving a high level service to our internal VIP and executive customers, ensuring they are fully kept up to date of any progress on break/fix and/or change activity.

The must haves:

    Demonstrable experience in a similar Desktop Support Analyst position providing executive support for board members
    We would love you to bring previous technical IT experience, skills, training or qualifications, this can be personal, academic or work experience
    Expert knowledge of: Mac OSX, Windows 10 and Apple IOS devices
    A people focussed approach with strong customer service experience and communication skills which will allow you to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
    Experience responding to problems and complaints and working in a timely manner to resolve issues
    The ability to assimilate, interpret and understand a range of different information so you can resolve or escalate accordingly

What you'll be doing

Behind everything our Supporters see online, from our public websites and mobile applications to the emails arriving in their inboxes, is the infrastructure and security capabilities delivered by the Digital Web Operations team.

An exciting challenge to further develop your career in security remediation and analytics. In this critical role you will be a security advocate leveraging tools to understand exploits and vulnerabilities across the digital estate to help drive and deliver our security road map. You will be responsible for threat analysis within IT digital investigating across all AWS environments, working closely with your team lead and the secops team to remediate security related issues based on operational needs.

We understand the big picture of how our systems relate to each other, facing and overcoming a broad spectrum of challenges using a breadth of tools and approaches. Who we're looking for

This role would suit someone with good knowledge in security and dev sec ops and understands the importance of keeping all environments safe and ensuring that security threats to the Trust are mitigated.

You should be comfortable with the use of all things tech and a keen interest to keep abreast of the latest technologies, whether that be infrastructure, cloud hosting, networks or security.

You'll also need to demonstrate:

    Experience of IT Operations, release and deployment management, operational support (ITIL- incident, change management and problem), and monitoring of services.
    Experience in delivering, implementing, and administrating solutions utilising a variety of cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure), Commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages.
    Technical knowledge and hands on experience of CI/CD deployment pipelines, dev ops tooling such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Github.
    Technical understanding of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, SQL Server and Oracle.
    Problem solving ability to debug complex distributed applications, services and databases.

What you’ll be doing:

To liaise with UK CTO and other assigned groups to manage the security portions of strategic projects, working within the project teams to achieve goals on time and on budget.

    To deliver assigned UK Security projects, enhancing our controls and closing new risks, on time and on budget.
    To form adhoc cross department teams as required to make decisions that support project delivery and solve important security problems.
    Liaise with Group, UK CTO and Operating entity architecture teams, including Security architecture, to maintain consistency across group strategy, and to maintain governance over the UK IT Systems.
    With the UK Security team to provide consultancy on the security aspects of business goals and plans outside CTO.
    To build secure solutions which can be measured, for example on Coverage, Quantity, and Quality metrics, and can be moved into a supportable and maintainable Business as Usual state.
    To assist the rest of UK Security producing risk assessments of Group and 3rd party tools and platforms, as required.

Who we're looking for

    Proven ITIL background and training to a minimum of v3 Foundation level.
    Systems experience within one or more domains with an understanding of the Information and Integration needs
    Commitment to self-development and be enthusiastic about acquiring new skills and embracing new technologies.
    Previous experience of 3rd Line support in an Infrastructure support team
    Experience of working with Cloud Technologies such as Azure and AWS.
    An understanding of Development, Testing and Support Environments
