IT Digital is a busy department and technology plays a key part in enabling the Trust to deliver on its strategic objectives. Our vision is to equip the Trust with the technology we all need to do our jobs confidently and delivery the Trust’s digital proposition. Working collaboratively with all areas of the Trust, we focus on delivering the Trust’s priority information services at pace, focusing on the needs of our people and supporters. We are continuously improving and securing Trust information services and take great pride in what we do.
Your contractual location will be Heelis, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.

What you'll be doing
Behind everything our Supporters see online, from our public websites and mobile applications to the emails arriving in their inboxes, is the infrastructure and security capabilities delivered by the Digital Web Operations team.
An exciting challenge to further develop your career in security remediation and analytics. In this critical role you will be a security advocate leveraging tools to understand exploits and vulnerabilities across the digital estate to help drive and deliver our security road map. You will be responsible for threat analysis within IT digital investigating across all AWS environments, working closely with your team lead and the secops team to remediate security related issues based on operational needs.

Who we're looking for
This role would suit someone with good knowledge in security and dev sec ops and understands the importance of keeping all environments safe and ensuring that security threats to the Trust are mitigated.
You should be comfortable with the use of all things tech and a keen interest to keep abreast of the latest technologies, whether that be infrastructure, cloud hosting, networks or security.
You'll also need to demonstrate:
Experience of IT Operations, release and deployment management, operational support (ITIL- incident, change management and problem), and monitoring of services.
Experience in delivering, implementing, and administrating solutions utilising a variety of cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure), Commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages.
Technical knowledge and hands on experience of CI/CD deployment pipelines, dev ops tooling such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Github.
Technical understanding of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, SQL Server and Oracle.
Problem solving ability to debug complex distributed applications, services and databases.
